Job DescriptionWe are building a next-generation Operations function that is agent-first by default and human-led where judgment, controls, and business context matter. As Finance Operations Workflow Architect, you will be the operational logic owner for our finance workflows, systems, and automation layer.
This is not a traditional finance operations or reporting role. You will design, build, and continuously improve agents, workflows, controls, metrics, and operating models that power financial operations, close processes, reconciliations, billing, collections, payables, reporting, and decision support while ensuring outputs are accurate, explainable, auditable, and business-relevant.
You will work closely with Finance leadership, Accounting, FP&A, RevOps, IT, and business stakeholders to turn finance operations questions into scalable, trusted systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build low-code / no-code agents and workflows that automate recurring finance operations tasks and analyses
- Tune, validate, and continuously improve agent outputs for accuracy, completeness, explainability, and auditability
- Translate ambiguous finance operations needs into structured logic, rules, and workflows that agents can execute reliably
- Build workflows that support exception handling, approvals, escalations, and control checkpoints
- Define and maintain core finance operations logic across billing, collections, payables, reconciliations, close support, revenue operations, and reporting
- Ensure consistency across ERP, CRM, billing systems, data warehouse, dashboards, and executive reporting
- Identify and resolve gaps in data quality, process handoffs, ownership, and system logic
- Map current-state finance workflows and design scalable future-state processes
- Build automation that reduces manual work while preserving appropriate review, approval, and compliance standards
- Support finance transformation initiatives across systems, workflows, reporting, and operating cadence
- Design processes that are repeatable, measurable, and resilient across regions, entities, and business models
- Perform deep-dive analyses on operational bottlenecks, revenue and client margin forecast, cash conversion, billing accuracy, collections risk, close timelines, reconciliation issues, and process performance
- Build scenario models for planning, tradeoffs, resource allocation, and leadership decision support
- Design the logic behind finance operations dashboards, narratives, controls reporting, and executive insights
- Review agent-generated reporting for accuracy, completeness, and decision usefulness
- Create metrics that help leadership understand process health, financial risk, and operational throughput
- Strong business judgment around finance workflows, controls, process design, and operational risk
- Experience building or maintaining: Finance operations workflows, Metrics frameworks, Analytical models, Controls or reconciliation processes, Automated or semi-automated workflows
- High comfort translating business questions and process requirements into structured logic
- Experience with low-code / no-code tools such as n8n, Airtable, Zapier, Make, or similar
- Familiarity with finance systems, ERP architectures, billing platforms, CRM data, or related operational systems
- Exposure to data warehouses, with Snowflake preferred
- Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar
- Experience with ERP or finance platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar
- Understanding of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, close management, or revenue operations processes
- Comfort partnering with both technical and finance stakeholders
- Experience supporting global or multi-entity finance operations
