As the Finance Operations Manager, you'll lead, mentor, and organize a team of up to 10 individuals, overseeing crucial functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll. Your focus within AP will be on ensuring accurate cost capture, measuring profitability, and nurturing vendor relationships, while in Payroll, your emphasis will be on efficiently processing payroll to uphold our commitment to exceptional service delivery in our people-centric business model.
Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing new scalable processes and solutions to accommodate our rapid growth trajectory. Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring compliance with tax and other regulatory/reporting requirements, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, and Operations, to address issues and optimize operational processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading by example and involved in the operational aspects of the department, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion of tasks. Diving into the day-to-day tasks of the department when necessary.
- Setting clear, achievable goals for the teams, in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
- Identifying meaningful metrics to measure departmental performance.
- Fostering a culture of mentorship and collaboration within the teams, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members.
- Processing transformation, including implementation of new solutions.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting operations management as an Accounting Manager or key member of Accounting Team; or CPA with consulting experience, and some non-CPA corporate experience, with exposure to payroll related tax compliance.
- A desire to learn and grow, professionally and personally, within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Knowledge of, and background in, best practices of accounting operations in a high-volume environment.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
- Experience with and aptitude for identifying, assessing, and implementing new processes and solutions.
- Effective communicator who can build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive in identifying issues and resolving them before they escalate.
- Approached challenges with a positive attitude and a solutions-oriented mindset, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
