We are a growing company seeking a Finance Operations Intern to support our team in managing key financial functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and general accounting tasks. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume finance environment, while contributing to high-priority projects and audit preparations.

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Process transactions across various AR functions, including sales order review and approval, AR tickets, tax exemption processing, credit checks, and invoicing.

• Execute debt collection processes, including researching, reconciling, and resolving account discrepancies within your collection portfolio.

• Perform analysis and reporting on AR data to monitor trends and identify potential issues.

• Provide support for internal and external finance projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, developing positive working relationships to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving.

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process invoices, employee reimbursement requests, and related entries accurately.

• Field inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders regarding payments and invoice status.

• Verify entries and reconcile accounts as needed to support monthly close activities and ensure accurate financial records.

• Support procurement and expense reimbursement processes by working cross-functionally with other departments.

• Assist in the continuous improvement and streamlining of AP-related policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in evaluating current policies and help implement process improvements in AR, AP, and general finance operations.

• Contribute to high-priority financial clean-up activities and support the team in preparation for audits.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, demonstrating autonomy, accuracy, and productivity.

• Collaborate with senior team members on various projects and assist with tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

• Fluent in English (additional language skills in German or French are a plus).

• 2+ years of work/bookkeeping experience or a degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Proficient in using financial management software and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Workday is a plus.

• Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.

• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
