If you collaborate effectively with others, dedicated to your craft, you’ll be sure to grow personally and professionally, taking advantage of the career opportunities across our global TwiningsOvo network.We’re recruiting The Finance Operations Managerwho will be responsible for financial accounting activities encompassing General ledger management, Intercompany accounting, fixed asset management and statutory reporting in strict adherence to the ABF Financial Control Framework while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger through diligent checks and journal postings. Additionally, the role holder will oversee comprehensive reconciliations. As a key member of the Nigeria Finance team, the FOM will focus on consistently maintaining accurate accounting records and control compliance by supporting the Financial Controller in implementing, monitoring, documenting, testing, and continuously improving TONL’s control framework to generate accurate financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, payments, journals, GL reconciliations, and month-end activities.
- Review AP/AR invoices, postings, and ensure timely reconciliation of ledger and business partner accounts.
- Manage intercompany transactions, invoicing, postings, payments, and balance reconciliations.
- Monitor ledger health, aging balances, open payments, and credit notes; investigate overdue items.
- Review debtor aging and assess requirements for bad debt provisions.
- Handle month-end close, statutory reporting, and Trial Balance preparation.
- Support financial controls, compliance, and internal/external audit activities.
- Maintain contract registers and ensure proper document storage and record management.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and reconciliations.
- Conduct fixed asset tagging, verification, and ensure asset movements are approved and documented.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a degree (BSc/B-Tech/HND).
- 4+ years of experience in FMCG or a Big Four accounting firm.
- Solid finance systems, Excel, and MIS skills.
- Understanding of branded consumer goods and manufacturing environments.
- Commercially minded with solid financial analysis and planning skills.
- Experience managing people and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
- Solid organizational, communication, and influencing skills.
