A Snapshot
As a Finance Manager, you will report to the Senior Finance Manager - in Japan, and work closely with the rest of the Finance and Operations teams in Sydney and Singapore, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Pivotal member of a lean and efficient finance team, capable of supporting the growth of a dynamic business whilst maintaining appropriate financial governance and controls
- Be instrumental in helping AirTrunk define leading practice and drive out key improvements through simplification and standardisation
- As a growth position within a dynamic and entrepreneurial business, the general nature and level of work within this role are designed to progress as opportunities arise
Your Day to Day
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including managing Fixed Assets, and month-end closing
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of all financial records and reporting
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with financial reporting obligations under debt facilities and board reporting requirements
- Responsible for compliance with all indirect tax obligations in Japan such as c-tax, withholding tax, fixed assets tax, etc
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
- Other ad hoc projects and duties to support the finance team
Requirements
- You have a minimum of 10 years’ relevant in-house experience
- Proactive, positive and mature team player with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Possess excellent organisation skills, able to work flexibly to lead projects and demonstrate critical thinking to solve problems, as well as a willingness to roll up one's sleeves
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- CA/CPA/Tax accountant qualified would be advantageous
- You are fluent in both English and Japanese
