About Geomiq

Geomiq is a fast-growing digital manufacturing company transforming how businesses source custom-manufactured components.

We combine technology with a global manufacturing network to deliver industry-leading service levels for manufactured goods.

With operations across the UK, China, India and Portugal, we're entering an exciting phase of growth.

We're looking for a proactive, commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function, improve financial reporting and help build scalable processes to support our growth.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and close working with the Financial Controller and leadership team.

You'll manage an existing finance team of two, oversee financial reporting and controls, and help improve how financial information is used across the business.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail but also thinks commercially, identifies opportunities for improvement and takes responsibility for delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Own the monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end close.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.

  • Maintain strong financial controls and accounting processes.

  • Coordinate statutory accounts, audits and compliance with external accountants.

Commercial Finance

  • Analyse revenue, gross margins, costs and profitability.

  • Monitor working capital, customer payments and supplier liabilities.

  • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions.

  • Identify financial risks, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve performance.

International Finance

  • Coordinate financial reporting across our UK, China, India and Portugal operations.

  • Work with local general managers and external accountants to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Support group consolidation, intercompany accounting and compliance requirements.

Systems, Automation & Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop our existing finance team.

  • Improve finance processes, reporting accuracy and efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks using technology and AI.

  • Work with our technology team to improve financial systems and data integration.

  • Develop documented, scalable financial processes.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Financial Controller.

  • Strong management accounting, balance sheet and cash flow experience.

  • Confident using Excel or Google Sheets and accounting software.

  • Experience improving financial processes and controls.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing or supervising a small finance team.

  • Experience in a high-growth or international business.

  • Exposure to group reporting, audits or financial due diligence.

  • Experience with QuickBooks, financial automation or AI tools.

  • Commercial finance and financial modelling experience.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 days: Take ownership of monthly reporting, understand existing financial processes, establish reliable controls and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Within six months: Deliver accurate and timely financial information, strengthen cash flow visibility, improve financial processes and reduce manual administration through automation.

Why Join Geomiq?
  • Ownership: Take meaningful responsibility for finance in a growing business.

  • Impact: Work closely with senior leadership and directly influence business performance.

  • Growth: Gain experience across an international, technology-led company.

  • Technology: Help modernise finance through automation and AI.

  • Progression: Opportunity to develop into a Head of Finance role as the business grows.

We're looking for someone who combines strong financial fundamentals with initiative, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in using technology to build a better finance function.
