As a Finance Manager at BSM, you will be responsible for driving the financial strategy and operational efficiency of the Ship Management Centre, ensuring alignment with BSM Corporate goals. You will act as a key advisor to senior management, support client relationships, and ensure compliance with international and local financial standards.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze operational results and economic trends; advise senior management on financial procedures and standards to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Provide financial insights during client meetings and contribute to contract development.
Ensure timely delivery of financial statements, reports, and invoices to clients.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, business associates, and local authorities.
Liaise with external auditors and oversee audit processes.
Develop and monitor the business entity’s budget; report discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
Review and improve financial procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Oversee taxation matters and ensure timely submission of tax returns and financial statements.
Review vessel-related financial reports and ensure prompt account settlements.
Lead and develop the finance team through coaching, training, and performance management.
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
Minimum 8 years of experience in ship management or ship owning operations with international exposure.
