About the Role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager – Cost of Acquisition to support Dyson’s global commercial decision‑making across 39 markets. This role focuses on analysing the effectiveness of commercial terms and selective promotional investments, uncovering drivers of performance, and enabling disciplined, ROI‑led investment decisions that balance growth, margin, and long‑term value creation.
This is a high‑impact, analytics‑driven position that partners closely with commercial and finance teams to provide insight on how commercial terms and promotions influence revenue, margin, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Performance Analysis:
Lead analytical reviews of revenue and sales performance, with a primary focus on the impact of commercial terms (rebates, incentives, discounts) and selective consumer‑facing promotions across customers and channels. - Market & Customer Insight:
Partner with local and global commercial teams to analyse how 39 distinct markets deploy commercial terms and promotions, identifying patterns, structural differences, and key drivers of performance across customer accounts. - Investment Effectiveness & ROI:
Develop and apply robust analytical frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of commercial terms (e.g. rebates, incentives, discounts), assessing ROI, incrementality, and cost efficiency to distinguish value‑creating structures from those that primarily subsidise base demand. - Pre‑ and Post‑Investment Assessment:
Support fact‑based decision‑making by assessing proposed commercial terms and promotions ahead of execution and conducting post‑event performance reviews to highlight optimisation opportunities. - Performance Measurement:
Apply consistent metrics and benchmarks to track the performance of commercial terms and promotions, identifying areas to stop, reshape, or reallocate spend based on results. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with sales, account management, and finance teams as a trusted analytical business partner, sharing insights and recommendations to support commercial decisions. - Reporting & Data Analysis:
Use OneStream, Excel, and PowerPoint to deliver deep‑dive analysis, clear visualisation, and concise executive‑level reporting across global leadership. - Global Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with regional and market stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and the Americas to ensure insights are locally relevant while enabling global comparability.
