Finance Manager (9-months contract)
Eclipse Trading is one of Asia’s leading proprietary derivatives trading firms. Founded in 2007, we have over 100 employees across 4 office locations – Hong Kong (our HQ), Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago. Our trading expertise and strategies are deployed across several Asian markets and although we mainly specialise in equity derivatives, we also trade delta one, ETFs, commodity derivatives, and cryptocurrency products. Technology is inextricably linked to our trading strategies, creating an environment powered by intellectual curiosity, problem solving, and innovation.
The successful candidate will be a member of our dynamic finance team based in Hong Kong and report directly to the Senior Finance Manager. It is a hands-on role with excellent exposure to derivative products, international taxation and accounting practices and regulatory aspects of our business.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete the month-end closing process, prepare regulatory returns and consolidation package to management
- Prepare financial and KPI analysis, budgets and forecasts
- Liaise with overseas consultants for monthly financial and regulatory reports
- Prepare statutory accounts, liaising with external accountants and auditors
- Perform tax computations and prepare corporate tax returns for our Hong Kong, Australia, China and the U.S. offices
- Review and enhance the accounting systems and internal controls
- Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as required
What you offer
- University graduate with recognised professional accounting qualifications
- 4-6 years post-qualification experience, preferably in the finance industry
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and highly organised
- Proactive, independent and has strong initiatives
- Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Chinese
- Advanced-level MS Excel skills
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 software is a strong advantage
- Enjoy working with different cultures and has an enthusiastic attitude
- Immediately available preferred
