Univeris is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support our Finance team through hands-on exposure to real financial operations. This is not a coffee-fetching role. You will work directly alongside senior finance professionals, contributing to live processes including accounts payable, receivable, period-close preparation, reconciliations, and financial reporting. What You'll Do
Accounts Payable Support — Assist with invoice processing, vendor data entry, and payment tracking
Reconciliations — Support bank and account reconciliations under senior analyst guidance
Period-Close Assistance — Help prepare working papers and supporting schedules for monthly close
Journal Entry Support — Assist in posting and verifying entries in NetSuite
Budget & Forecast Support — Pull data, update models, and assist with variance tracking
Financial Reporting — Help compile reports and presentation decks for management
AI & Process Automation — Identify repetitive finance workflows and assist in automating them using AI tools, prompt engineering, and workflow automation platforms
Ad Hoc Projects — Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance transformation efforts driven by AI and technology
Required Skills and Experience
Education — Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
Year of Study — 2nd year or above preferred
Excel — Proficiency required; pivot tables, lookups, and basic modelling
ERP Systems — Familiarity with NetSuite is an asset
AI Literacy — Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) and interest in applying them to finance workflows
AI Agents — Experience building AI agents or workflow automations is a strong optional asset
Attributes — Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, intellectually curious, strong communicator
Skills Required
