The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Intern to support the finance team with ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in cost analysis, financial modeling, and process improvement. The intern will work closely with finance and operations teams to support data-driven decision-making and improve internal processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field to gain practical, real-world experience in a dynamic business environment.
Here's What You'll Do:
- Accounting Support
- Prepare and support reclassification journal entries.
- Assist with account analysis and resolving discrepancies.
- Support cost tracking and internal financial reviews as needed.
- Cost Modeling & Analysis
- Build and maintain financial models related to raw material testing costs.
- Support pricing analysis and margin modeling initiatives.
- Partner with operations and procurement teams to analyze cost drivers.
- Process Improvement & Operational Projects
- Help design and document process flows for batch slot planning and scheduling.
- Analyze operational data to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Support implementation of structured reporting tools for internal use.
- Operational Excellence Initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, cost control, and scalability.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through analysis, documentation, and implementation tracking.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
The budgeted range for this position is $25.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected hourly range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
