We are looking for a Finance Intern to join our Shared Services team this Summer at GE Appliances, a Haier company. In this role, you’ll help our Shared Services team provide world-class collections services, risk analysis and customer experiences.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the Shared Services Team with assigned project work and collections calls.
  • Gathers and organizes required documentation such as invoices, proof of deliveries, and waivers.
  • Utilizes MS Excel and Access for customer account research, statement creation, and account reconciliation.
  • Utilizes customer or 3rd party web portals for research and resolution of past due invoices and deductions.
  • Conducts research on unapplied cash and credits to reconcile with customer invoices or deductions.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Position Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Must be in active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another business-related field.
  • Holds a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft 365 - including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Has the ability to multi-task in several systems for billing, accounts receivables, and other outside systems.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with external and internal customers.
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
