What does a Finance Director do at WPP Production?
The Finance Director will help lead all finance forecasting, revenue reports, invoicing, and cross team collaborations. Will be responsible for enhancing financial processes, systems, and infrastructure that will allow the operation to continue to grow and meet it’s financial goals.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provide quarterly and monthly forecast updates for Fee and Studio revenue.
- Track SOWs, revenue files and maintain audit back up.
- Report monthly Revenue Recognition.
- Advise on month-to-month changes in fees and costs managing revenue samples for audits.
- Provide margin analysis impact based on revenue/cost changes.
- Work with Talent/HR on open position reports and staffing reports approving freelance hires and track freelance budget.
- Collaborate with other WPP agencies and teams on cross business billing and projects.
- Work with client teams on fee pricing based on client commercial terms.
- Open billable projects and generate estimates reviewing monthly billing for fee projects.
- Approve PO’s and vendor invoices and the intercompany invoices.
- Supervise studio billing manager, and oversee business policies, compliance, and accounting practices.
- Responsible for Brazilian Balance Sheet, budgets and financial planning and analysis.
- Lead rate negotiations and evaluations.
- Lead and support the organizational budgeting process.
- Review, enhance and implement new systems and processes that support a growing business model, including time reporting, estimating, and financial management tools.
- Present relevant financial data to our parent company, WPP.
- Ensure client financial activities are consistent, profitable, and meet client and Hogarth objectives.
- Oversee the development and negotiation of client contracts and agreements including MSAs, KPIs, and SLAs in collaboration with account management.
- Support and advise leadership and management teams in decision making.
- Oversee risk management and legal activities: letters of agreement, contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements.
- Contribute to resource and staff planning.
- Establish and manage relationships with senior agency partners within WPP and with clients.

This role reports to the Global CFO.

Requirements
Technical Skills
- English: Fluent.
- Experience in business management, finance, planning, and staff management.
- Understanding of Production rate cards.
- Understanding of offshoring process, global company relations and parent company interactions.
- Successfully lead SOX compliance initiatives.
- Good-to-have: Experience within the production, advertising, marketing, media or like industry.
- Good-to-have: FP&A experience.
