[ You Role ]

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting function and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations in a growing non-listed company.

You will be responsible for leading the full-cycle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, overseeing all daily general accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, payroll, and expense management), ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements under USGAAP, managing compliance with Japanese corporate tax, consumption tax, withholding tax, and all statutory filings, coordinating smoothly with external advisors and tax accountants.

You will work closely with the global accounting team and support budgeting, forecasting, cash management and leading a high-performing accounting team of 3–8 members (in Japan and overseas) in the future.

[ Your Responsibilities ]

• Lead full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing (statutory and, if applicable, consolidated)
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements under USGAAP
• Manage day-to-day general accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, payroll, expense reimbursement)
• Ensure compliance with Japanese corporate tax, consumption tax, withholding tax, and other local regulations
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns and survey forms 
• Coordinate smoothly with external tax accountants and advisors
• Drive accounting process improvement and system implementation/enhancements 
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management in collaboration with FP&A

[ Your Qualifications ]

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with ERP or major accounting software
• Business-level English and native-level Japanese
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities

[Preferred Qualifications]

• Japanese CPA, US CPA, or equivalent certification highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of USGAAP is a big plus
• Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm experience
• Experience in multinational environments or foreign-capital companies in Japan
• Track record of successful system implementation or process improvement projects
