Finance Business Partner - Shared Services

We are looking for a highly analytical and proactive Finance Business Partner (FBP) to join our Shared Services Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience, strong technical and reporting capabilities, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.
You will split your time between financial business partnering, operational support, and data/reporting innovation - especially through Power BI, advanced Excel modelling, and improved reporting processes.
You will also support key operational areas such as KYC, Legal, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Procurement.
Some of the things you will be doing:
1. Financial Business Partnering & Operational Support
- Act as a trusted advisor to Shared Services teams, supporting decision-making with clear financial insights.
- Maintain financial transparency and accuracy across capability cost pools.
- Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with compelling financial storytelling and trend analysis.
- Provide operational support to the Manager Finance Business Partnership on Finance, Sales, and Marketing matters.
- Lead and maintain processes related to KYC and Legal.
- Support preparation for portfolio reviews, senior leadership presentations, and forecasting discussions.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support strategic planning activities including scenario modelling and medium-term planning.
- Contribute to quarterly forecasts and full-year budgeting cycles.
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models.
- Provide recommendations based on variance analysis, trends, and operational metrics.
- Develop input files and data sources feeding forecasting and budgeting tools.
3. Reporting, Data & Analytics (Power BI Focus)
This is a core capability required for this position.
- Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and automated reporting for Shared Services leadership.
- Develop visuals and insights that simplify complex financial information.
- Enhance reporting cycles by identifying automation opportunities.
- Own data management activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of information across multiple systems.
- Partner with teams to improve reporting structures, KPIs, and financial transparency.
4. Accounting & Month-End Close Engagement
- Support monthly close, including accrual review, prepaid analysis, and validation of accounting reconciliations.
- Review account analysis files and ensure accuracy of in-service dates, cost classifications, and budget line information.
5. Procurement, Vendor & Chargeback Support
- Review vendor quotes, SOWs, and spending activities to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Support cost analysis and contribute to identifying cost efficiencies.
- Set up chargeback structures in the ERP system and maintain accuracy.
- Handle ad hoc purchasing inquiries from stakeholders.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- 3-5 years experience in FP&A, Controlling, Financial Analysis, or a similar finance role.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets across multiple systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (modelling, automation, complex formulas).
- Strong Power BI experience - dashboard building, data modeling, DAX familiarity.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Proactive, self-driven, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Shared Services or cross-functional corporate environments.
- Experience supporting Sales & Marketing or Legal/KYC activities.
- Experience with ERP systems (EBS Oracle, SAP S4 Hana, EPM Oracle) and chargeback mechanisms
- Interest in automation, digital finance, or process improvement.
