The Opportunity
The Finance Business Partner (FBP) is a key strategic role within the FP&A team, responsible for driving financial performance by partnering with business leaders across the organisation. This role provides financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical support to enhance decision-making and optimise business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to key business units, providing financial guidance and insights.
- Develop strong relationships with operational teams to influence decision-making and drive financial performance.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned business units, ensuring accuracy and alignment with overall company goals.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end analysis and board reports.
- Taking ownership of and preparing financial statements, including the commentaries.
- Drive process improvements in reporting, leveraging automation and best practices.
- Monitor and analyse revenue, costs, and profitability to support operational efficiency and growth.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation within FP&A.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives such as pricing strategies, capital investments, and operational efficiencies.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or a related role, plus at least 3 years in a similar Finance Business Partner role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems (e.g., Domo, SQL).
- CPA, CA, CIMA, or CFA qualification (or working towards one).
- Experience in Retail Industry
- Experience with Planful
