Location: Hybrid position - 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Can be located in either Maple Grove, MN or Wixom, MI.

Reporting to the Head of Finance SSC, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for maintaining and reporting financial data to help drive financial fitness and improving KPIs. They must assist in financial forecasting by interpreting macroeconomic data. This person will also be responsible for reviewing the profitability across all products and selling channels and driving price realization and profitability. The development and tracking of all financial key performance indicators will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making.

The Finance Business Partner will create both standardized & custom reports, conduct quantitative financial analysis, provide support for internal and assess future needs and data integrity. Develop standardized tools and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency and ensure completeness of all reporting for KPI, forecasting, profitability, and budget management related activities.

Here’s what you’ll do:  

  • Monitoring and reporting KPIs
  • Responsible for locally created reporting to help drive the business
  • Should have clear current financial overview and flag whether we need accruals to limit cost exposure
  • Responsible for interpreting financial data to help drive financial fitness and improving KPIs.  Responsible for suggesting new KPIs and business models should they be evident in the flow of business
  • Actively participate in the month-end close review meeting.
  • Create monthly reporting results package including key performance indicators
  • Support financial forecasting
  • Responsible for interpreting macroeconomic data and relate to financial forecasting
  • Responsible for identifying business drivers from a market and regional perspective and how to optimize moving forward
  • Reviewing profitability
  • Provide monthly analysis of Selling Expenses
  • Coordinated Budget activities for Sales Cost Centers
  • Budget management and optimization
  • Responsible for budget management across (Sales/Services) portion of the business
  • In collaboration with Head of Finance, responsible for identifying business opportunities and optimization
  • Responsible for driving corrective actions that are made visible by PC
  • Responsible for Capex planning and management
  • Responsible for driving free cash flow optimization

Do you qualify?

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance.  5+ years of accounting related experience equivalency.
  • Strong ability to understand and optimize end to end processes while recommending improvements where applicable
  • High level of organizational skills for both information and process
  • Should be capable of challenging the business on difficult decisions - Feel comfortable challenging the norm and what is currently being done
  • Strong project management skills - ability to track and drive initiatives forward
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to see larger picture and think outside the box
  • Strong analytical capacity
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with people in various situations at all levels of the Corporation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience through various formats
  • Skilled in use of Computer systems including Microsoft Excel and Word.  Business Warehouse and SAP experience a plus.
