Finance Business Partner - Customer & Commercial (12 Month Contract)

Our Finance team partners across THE ICONIC to turn complex data into clear commercial insights, supporting innovation, tech product launches and strategic decision-making. 

About You..

We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team and partner closely with senior leaders across our Customer & Commercial functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning numbers into meaningful business insights, influencing decision-making, and supporting teams to drive revenue, manage costs and improve profitability.

What you’ll do..

  • Business partner with senior leaders across Customer & Commercial, providing financial support, challenge and insights.
  • Support annual budget and mid-term planning processes.
  • Lead the month-end and monthly reporting cycle for Customer & Commercial.
  • Analyse current and forecasted trade in partnership with Company Planning, with a focus on improving forecast accuracy.
  • Provide value-add insights across customer, category, promotional and marketing activity performance.
  • Oversee financial reviews and commercials for large platform deals.
  • Lead costing reviews for overheads and ensure contracted spend is regularly reviewed and challenged.
  • Identify risks and opportunities against budget and forecast.
  • Work with Customer Insights to validate customer builds and performance assumptions.
  • Oversee people costs across the Customer & Commercial areas.
  • Play a central role in monthly Customer & Commercial Reviews / MBRs.
  • Create, improve and automate reports and financial models.
  • Work closely with Commercial Analysts, Planning and Insights teams to deliver high-quality reporting and analysis.

About you…  

  • Strong finance business partnering experience with the ability to work with Senior Executives
  • Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA are highly regarded.
  • Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Case Development & Evaluation
  • Solid technical accounting and reporting capability
  • Experience with Tableau or similar analytics/reporting tools.
  • The ability to translate numbers into a clear business story.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting cycles.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and performance drivers.
