Finance | business economics internship: support the corporate finance department
Introduction
Within ASML’s Corporate Treasury department, the Corporate Finance function is responsible for the management of the group capital structure with a focus on securing sufficient liquidity, external funding, returns to shareholders, credit ratings and bank relationship management. As such, the function is responsible for all (material) financing transactions, such as listed debt securities, revolving credit facilities and equity transactions, as well as share buybacks and dividends.
Your assignment
You will support the Corporate Finance function by:

Supporting the Corporate Finance director and managers in their projects

Conducting research on developments with regards to: financial markets, peers, financial counterparts and others

Taking end-to-end responsibility for reporting tasks, both internally and externally

Keep work procedures up-to-date and transferable to successors, and initiate improvements

Preparing all necessary documents for meetings, both with internal stakeholders as well as for banks, rating agencies, etc.
This is a bachelor (university) or master internship with a minimum duration of 6 months, for 5 days a week, with sufficient flexibility to spend time on university (course)work. The preferred internship start date is as soon as possible.
For master students there is a possibility to combine the internship with a graduation thesis if the chosen topic is of sufficient relevance to ASML.
Your Profile
To be a perfect match for this internship, you:

You are a final year bachelor (university) student, or master student in the field of Business Economics/Finance;

Have an outstanding academic record and have proven affinity with topics that are related to corporate finance;

Are motivated to work in a high tech company and have a keen interest to develop your practical skills in a challenging and dynamic business environment;

Have strong analytical and communication skills, are capable of working independently with high accuracy and able to handle a high level of responsibility;

Are excellent in English, both verbally and in writing.
Other requirements you need to meet

You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement)
