About the role

We are searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at Education Perfect. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department by handling various financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and assisting with financial analysis.

What you will do

  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) system and process employee expense claims
  • Manage the finance inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Process sales invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and internal staff as needed
  • Follow up with debtors to meet collection targets
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements accurately and on time
  • Ensure alignment of sales data between CRM and accounting systems
  • Support the month-end close process with journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting
  • Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as required

About you

  • Recently completed an Associate or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Based in Dunedin and available for a full time role
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other financial software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
