Summary: The role of the Finance Analyst is a key support to the Finance Controller, providing critical insights and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making and drive financial performance. Working closely with the Finance Controller, the Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes. This includes assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, conducting variance analysis, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in depth financial analysis to support strategic decision making. Analyze financial data, performance metrics, and trends to provide actionable insights to management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budget and bi-annual forecasts. Work closely with department heads to understand the business needs and develop accurate forecasts.
- Variance Analysis: Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Investigate and explain variances, identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting: Support on the preparation of monthly financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends and risks.
- Costs Analysis: Analyze costs and the cost drivers across different departments. Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Month End Closing: Assist in the monthly closing activities as well as the preparation of the monthly consolidated P&L of the company, ensuring accuracy and correct coding of the financial data.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analysis and special projects as required by management
- 2-3 years financial experience (preferably in Beauty and/or luxury experience)
- Batchelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Proficiency in ERP systems and excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
