Purpose:
This Finance and Accounting Intern will work with several of our finance groups on a rotational basis. This 12-week program will include 4 rotations in the following areas: Accounting/Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis). Interns are typically required to work onsite at our Pittsburgh office, with the option for remote work on certain days based on department schedules.
Hourly Rate: $15.00/Hour, 40 hours per week
Timing: 12 weeks. Start & end dates are flexible.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Contribute to monthly accounting close cycle
- Prepare reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Process vendor invoices for payment
- Receive customer payments and generate customer invoicing
- Assist with tax reporting
- Develop reports and dashboards to support financial analysis
- Support the accounting team with other ad hoc projects and tasks as needed
Position Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
