Job Description:
Brindley Engineering is currently looking for a hungry and detail-orientated field technician to join our team. Great opportunity to get into the heavy industrial industry! No prior structural experience is needed.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•Conduct field condition assessments of industrial structures and equipment
•Perform field measurements
•Work together with engineers to develop repair plans
•Perform construction quality assurance/quality control
•Analyze inspection data
•Maintain inspection tools and equipment and manage calibration schedules
•Assist in the development of safety planning for fieldwork
Minimum Qualifications:
•Education:2-year technical degree or 5 years of experience in the industry
•Experience:Min Yr = 0 Max Yr = 10+
•Technical Skills: Previous manlift operating experience is a plus
•Management: Basic mentoring/small team technical oversight required
•Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
General Notes:
•Must be able to interview in person within a few days notice
•Relocation assistance will not be offered
Professional Development Opportunities:

•Become proficient in the application of structural design codes (Concrete, Steel, AWS)
•Development of managerial and leadership skills
•Inspection certifications such as ASNT, NACE Coatings Inspector, various API certifications, various ACI/ICRI certifications, AWS/CWI

Individual field assignments typically each have their own unique requirements. Prior to deployment on any field assignment, you must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements. Should you be unable or unwilling to meet assignment-specific requirements, your continued employment would then be subject to the availability of other assignments whose requirements can be met. These unique requirements may include:
•You must possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights).
•You may be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
•You may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection.
•You must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE. This may include but not be limited to a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots.
•You may be required to position yourself to work in confined spaces
•You may be required to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.
•You may be required to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.
