The Field Sales Representative contributes to a team of Sales Representatives, assigned to a dedicated territory. You will gather data to procure and generate revenue on the B2B side of our business. In this role, you will support the B2B sales team in executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual strategic growth initiatives for Aventon products. This position reports to the Field Sales Manager.


The ideal candidates will be located in Tennessee and will be responsible for partners in the East United States territory.


What You'll Do:

  • Learn the Aventon brand product line and proactively reach out to partners to support our products. 
  • Re-enforce dedication to partnerships with bike shops, outdoor brands, and sporting goods stores; maintain partner relationships and meet onsite partnership visit goals on a regular basis.
  • Document partner feedback – owner, sales, mechanic, customer, etc
  • Enter sales/warranty orders as needed – provide warm hand off to appropriate department.
  • Understand, anticipate, and communicate the onsite needs of our wholesale partners.
  • Actively listen and document feedback identified while completing onsite visits with partners and develop solutions to address challenges; assist in the continuous improvement process within the B2B team. 
  • Responsible for ensuring monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for partner on site visits.
  • Handle escalated issues while on site; partner with team and empower / coach them to solve problems with their shops. 
  • Provide ongoing training to the partner’s team and ensure adequate product knowledge and sales tactics.
  • Be equipped with both Aventon merchandise and small parts to increase onsite visit satisfaction.

What You'll Need:

  • Demonstrated experience as a sales professional generating multi-million dollars in revenue; sales within mobility / sporting goods space is highly preferred 
  • Internet-savvy and comfortable with office applications (PC/Mac, word processor, spreadsheet, web browsers, mobile devices)
  • Motivated self-starter who will be pro-active in finding new partners, growing the team, and generating revenue for the company
  • Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail (spelling, grammar) a must.
  • Excellent verbal communication, ample time will be spent on the phone with customers.
  • Ability to travel for Bike Shop Visits, Trade Shows, Industry Events, etc. (Travel about 80% of the time)
  • Demonstrate follow-through and getting things done.
  • “Can do” attitude and problem-solving skills.
