We are currently seeking a Bilingual Field Safety Manager for our West Texas operations. Local candidates are required. This position involves travel between Pecos, Texas and Carlsbad, New Mexico.
PurposePlans, implements, and manages the company wide HSE programs to prevent unsafe working conditions, environmental hazards and to control, reduce and eliminate occupational injuries, environmental damage, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses due to incidents.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Implements corporate incident prevention and loss control systems and programs into local operations; Identifies and analyzes conditions which could result in incidents, environmental damage, and financial losses, evaluates their potential consequences, and implements corrective actions.
- Manages and coordinates activities of the company HSE program locally; evaluates effectiveness and implementation of the HSE program locally to ensure continual improvement; works closely with the local Operations Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures including, but not limited to leading all incident investigations in conjunction with operations personnel.
- Conducts monthly safety meetings using prepared presentations that focus on safety topics pertinent to company operations
- Performs HSE audits of field crews and reports findings and corrective actions to Director of Operations. (Minimum of 3 per month)
- Assists company Compliance Department with safety related task including but not limited to:
- PEC Training
- Yearly certification renewals
- New requests from existing or new clients regarding safety
- Client Audits
- Tracks and monitors HSE-related training to ensure compliance with all applicable legal, client and company requirements.
- Attends client sponsored “Vendor Safety Meetings”
- Reviews and Updates company Safety Policy
- Compiles, analyzes, investigates, and report accidents and injuries involving Company employees and/or assets to assess root causes and make recommendations regarding accident and injury prevention, when and as necessary.
- Cultivates a culture of “Near Miss” Reporting
- Manages ISNetWorld and PEC systems, including RAVS and RAVS Plus
- Conducts and documents monthly truck inspections
- Supervises and ensures proper bump testing of H2S monitors
- Keeps up with yearly fire extinguisher certifications
- Ensures both truck and office First Aid Kits are in proper condition and stocked properly
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
GlobaLogix provides a drug free workplace, and the company will require you to participate in its drug testing program. This will include a pre-employment drug screen.
