The Role

The Field Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Xos products meet the highest quality standards. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to, initiating activities for continuous improvements of product quality performance, analyzing consumer and service feedback to identify areas of opportunity for improvement, coordinate corrective/preventative actions related to field quality through all levels of the organization, and focus on increasing the positive experience of our customers.

**This is an on-site based opportunity at our Byrdstown, Tennessee facility** 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analyses of field data of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Record detailed findings, including measurements, observations, and test results, in an organized and accurate manner. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing inspection results and communicate to Xos management.
  • Identify and document any non-confirming products, processes, or materials, and investigate the root cause. Collaborate with the appropriate teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and other departments to address field quality issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Familiarize yourself with XOS full product line of Step Vans, and Energy Solutions.
  • Initiate activities for continuous improvements of product quality performance.
  • Strongly involved in supporting the development of new products.
  • Lead Field Quality continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow and approve the closure of actions defined to solve the quality issues.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on field quality product performance, continuous improvement initiatives, and reliability of implemented corrective actions.
  • Lead problem solving initiatives to timely identify and address root cause.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or Industrial Technology.
  • 5-10 years in leading teams through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment
  • Thorough understanding of technical components and processes involved in vehicle/chassis assembly
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working with repetitive tasks and inspections.
  • Solid computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of GSuite and Microsoft Office required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic math skills.
  • A strong commitment to upholding quality standards, continuous improvement, and promoting a culture of quality within the organization.
