- Customer Claim Management: Handle customer complaints and failure reports, ensuring a structured and efficient resolution process.
- Root Cause Investigation: Lead investigations using the 8D methodology, ensuring a clear flow of information between all stakeholders.
- Cross-Team Alignment: Work closely with the technical and failure analysis teams to define investigation timelines and drive corrective actions.
- Customer Communication: Provide clear and structured communication to customers regarding investigation progress, findings, and resolution plans.
- Documentation & Reporting: Generate and maintain 8D reports for customer claims, ensuring transparency and compliance with automotive quality standards.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with the Supplier Quality Manager to address production-related failures and define corrective measures.
- Lessons Learned & Continuous Improvement: Ensure the effective implementation of lessons learned and best practices to enhance product Quality Performance Tracking: Define, monitor, and report KPI´s related to quality and claim resolution.
What you bring with you
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a comparable technical field
- Professional experience in the automotive or a related industry, ideally in quality management, field returns, or failure analysis
- Solid knowledge of automotive quality standards and problem-solving methods (e.g., VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, FMEA)
- Hands-on experience in debugging and fault analysis at the electronic hardware (PCBA) level
- A structured, analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English – both written and spoken – are a must; German skills are a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
- Proactive attitude, high level of ownership, and motivation to drive improvements in product quality and customer satisfaction
