The Role

Essential Functions:

  • Build and shape the brand perception within existing, emerging, and new markets.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute strategic marketing programs or partnerships.
  • You will be the primary intake for field marketing requests.
  • Maintain plans and timelines and track performance metrics for multi-track projects and programs for regions and the brand.
  • Work to assist the operations field team in identifying potential opportunities to increase sales at our locations and within local communities.
  • Work with our store managers and district managers to seek partnerships and business-to-business opportunities within communities to increase brand awareness and sales, furthering the success of local store marketing.
  • Assist our project managers with coordinating all creative needs, including local store marketing, print, direct mail, outdoor, and digital media.
  • Work closely with Operations teams to aid in-store performance planning.
  • Assist the Marketing Director in vendor sourcing and negotiating.
  • Assist with grand opening event planning and timelines and assist store and field teams with local execution, where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred. Other job-related experience and education combinations that meet the requirements may be substituted.
  • 2+ years of professional work experience in field marketing within a retail environment is preferred.
  • Experience with media relations/PR campaigns and social media is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator)
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly.
  • Customer or client service experience.
  • Customer focused: Identifies and understands customer needs and puts them first in all activities and efforts.
  • Effective project management skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creative thinker who has proficient design and organizational skills
  • Must be well organized and can handle multiple responsibilities under constant deadlines with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles, the creative process, and the latest technologies and how to apply them to an overall marketing plan.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Travel is required. We expect the role to be up to 50% field and 50% office

  • Occasionally lift and/or carry, up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level for up to 30 minutes of a workday. (I.e. to replenish fountain syrups).
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up 30 pounds from the ground to overhead up to 30 minutes a workday. (I.e. stocking/maintaining inventory levels; resets.)
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds from the ground to waist up to 30 minutes a workday. (I.e. stocking/maintaining inventory levels; resets)
  • Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds. (i.e. utilizing a hand truck).
  • Ability to climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials, place and/or replace signage.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range.

  • The individual may occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures while supervising store managers performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
  • Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
