What we're looking for:
Iodine is seeking a candidate to join the Marketing team as a Field Marketing Operations Events Manager. This role is responsible for planning and executing all logistics, pre- and post-event promotions, and necessary follow up. The goals of each event include, but are not limited to, new lead generation, add-on and cross sale lead generation, client and partner engagement, and market awareness.
What you'll do:
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of events, from research and planning to execution and post-event analysis. As an event expert, you will possess a deep understanding of all operational aspects of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. Your operational mindset, efficiency, and flexibility will be key to successfully executing events while managing multiple priorities and adding value to a small team.

  • Oversee planning, production and executions of events that are virtual and/or in-person
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targetsDevelop and implement event strategies that align with company goals and objectives
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, venues, and other partners, ensuring favorable terms and timely deliverables
  • Coordinate and facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams throughout the event process
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of regional and national conferences, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement


Operational Excellence:

  • Streamline the procurement process by sourcing and evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
  • Foster a collaborative environment by facilitating regular communication and coordination among cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for event planning and execution to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Continuously assess and optimize event processes to improve the attendee experience, reduce costs, and maximize ROI


Key deliverables include:

  • Build and execute an annual event work plan, including budget allocation, timelines and vendor and venue partners to ensure all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality experience.
  • Understand the strategic role of events as it relates to company goals and objectives and align conference activities to these goals.
  • Manage the operational planning of conferences, events, and third-party partnerships opportunities, including communications and project management internally and also externally.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop on-site strategy and creative
  • Manage on-site logistics and troubleshoot issues that may arise before or during eventsEnsure the team is on time and within budget for all event activities and manage metrics and benchmarks for event activities
  • Own vendor relationships and deliverables for events and conference activities
  • Ensure pre-show lead generation campaigns are fully integrated with the website, social media and all other channels to maximize results.
  • Manage post event debriefs to ensure continuous improvement to and value from each event..
  • Work with graphic designers and other members of the marketing team as needed on the creation of show materials, including content, banners, and promotional materials.
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop collateral that is consistent with the brand and can be used for sales support and direct marketing initiatives.
  • Create, analyze and distribute data metrics and outcomes related to event campaigns and business objectives.
  • Provide additional support to the marketing team by way of other marketing initiatives and special projects, administrative support, and other duties as assigned.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end event process, setting and monitoring KPIs, and continuously optimizing operations, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our events and contributing to the overall growth of the company


What we'd love to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar field
  • 5 years of proven experience in B2B event marketing with a focus on trade shows
  • A strong background in and understand of managing and executing event logistics and planning
  • Comfort with data-first approach to marketing strategy and a willingness to own and iterate on the events and conferences playbook
  • Proven track record of success in meeting deadlines
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and meet financial targets.
  • Ability to build, work collaboratively and communicate with all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools (Slack and Asana), CRM tools (Salesforce), and marketing automation tools (HubSpot)
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% as required for trade shows and events management
