Position Description
The Field Implementation Lead will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and partners to build and deliver innovative solutions for customers. This role focuses on the manufacture, deployment, and operation of VIA pilot-scale systems. You will work closely with engineering, R&D teams, vendors, fabricators, and customers to ensure the on-time and on-budget development and installation of VIA’s pilot systems. This position offers significant growth potential as VIA continues to expand, scale systems, and broaden its impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to manufacture in-house designed pilot systems.
- Ensure the timely completion of pilot systems.
- Lead the installation of systems at customer sites, including managing logistics, deployment, and the operation of pilot systems at customer locations.
- Operate, monitor, and optimize pilot systems at customer locations and at Via locations. Ensure systems meet performance specifications and achieve KPIs.
- Apply hands-on skills to manufacture systems within the prototype assembly space.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve fabrication and construction issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide training and support to customers and internal teams on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of the following:
- 5–10 years of experience in assembling and deploying complex pilot or larger systems, ideally in industrial manufacturing environments.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the manufacture and assembly of equipment skids, including piping and pumping systems, using standard manufacturing techniques.
- Basic electrical wiring skills (preferred).
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions
- Ability to use fork trucks while also understanding rigging of components for assembly/disassembly of process equipment (preferred).
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative yet informally structured environment.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform activities such as stooping, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for this role with occasional work required nights/weekends
- U.S. work authorization is required for this role.
