About this role:

This role is based in our Jakarta office, and you will be a member of our wider Singapore team. The portfolio from this team includes projects from major hotel operators, clubhouses, show flats, etc. across China, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea and India.

Job Summary:

The FF&E Designer at HBA’s Jakarta office will play a key role in developing and executing FF&E design concepts for high-profile hospitality. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of materials, finishes, and furnishings, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to bring design visions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation of innovative FF&E concepts, mood boards, and material palettes that align with project goals and client expectations.

  • Develop detailed FF&E specifications, including furniture layouts, custom designs, and finish schedules.
  • Source and select furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories that meet design, quality, and budgetary requirements.
  • Work closely with interior designers, architects, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of FF&E elements into overall design schemes.
  • Participate in design presentations and client meetings, providing support in communicating FF&E concepts.
  • Assist in the preparation of design documentation, including drawings, schedules, and budgets.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to source materials, obtain quotes, and ensure timely delivery of FF&E items.
  • Conduct quality checks on FF&E samples and prototypes to ensure they meet design standards.
  • Assist in overseeing the installation of FF&E items on-site, ensuring design intent is maintained.

Address and resolve any FF&E-related issues during the installation phase.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of experience in FF&E design, preferably within the hospitality or related sector.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and FF&E specification tools.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings, with an eye for detail and quality.
  • Fluent in English is a must.

  • Strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
