Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation
The Operations Accounting Manager is responsible for coordinating and ensuring all field accounting functions are performed timely and accurately. This position works closely with operations personnel and is a critical and important member of the team. The role also involves generating financial reporting and analysis of actual job performance and presenting it to executive management. Ferrovial Webber Energy is a Joint Venture 50% owned by Webber and Ferrovial Energy.
What You Will Do:
Monitor and analyze job performance, budgets, and manage forecast updates and revisions to budgets.
Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze variances compared to previous forecasts.
Communicate routinely with Project Managers, Area Managers, and Operations Executives on various job-related topics.
Coordinate financial communication and reporting with JV partners.
Oversee job cost allocations to ensure all costs incurred are captured accurately in the financial statements and that the project’s financial results reflect the status of the projects and comply with company accounting policies.
Partner with Operations Management and Project Control department to create and analyze KPIs for strategic decision-making.
Support the Deputy and Chief Financial Officer in developing written accounting procedures for staff operations and ensure proper implementation and compliance.
Provide interpretation of financial information to executive management.
Innovate in the development of new ideas to improve accounting systems.
Who You Are: A Profile of Succes
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Seven (7) years of accounting experience, with construction accounting experience preferred.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
Position is based in The Woodlands, Texas.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Bilingual in Spanish is valuable.
Knowledge of Insite/SAP.
Flexible attitude and ability to work in a team.
Mastery of MS Excel.
Working knowledge of MS Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of SAP
