Federation Services Engineer

Job Description
ESS-IT Identity Services team is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to support our Enterprise Federation Service. As a key member of our team, you will apply your IT expertise to design, develop, and implement secure systems infrastructure, including federation services, single sign-on and multi-factor solutions, and Exostar services. You will work with cross-functional teams to extend our federation service capabilities and provide technical support globally.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and implement federation services for on-premise and cloud environments

• Collaborate with application owners to extend single sign-on solutions to new and existing applications

• Work with SMEs, engineers, and customers to design, develop, and implement secure systems infrastructure

• Provide technical leadership to junior employees and contribute to the development of technical documentation

• Troubleshoot high-level networking issues and perform root cause analysis

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in identity management and security

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an Engineering discipline; OR equivalent work experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new concepts quickly

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• 6+ years of overall IT experience

• Experience with Ping Identity Products (PingFederate, PingOne, PingID, PingAccess)

• Knowledge of Multifactor Authentication (MFA) solutions and password-less authentication

• Knowledge of SAML, WS-Federation, and OAuth

• Experience with Exostar, Azure/Entra ID, and Entra Enterprise application configuration

• Experience with troubleshooting Federation Logs

• Familiarity with SIEM tools, such as Splunk

• Knowledge of identity and access management and compliance regulations (CMMC, FedRAMP)

• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python)

• General networking knowledge of large-scale global environments (LAN, WAN, etc.)

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
