Federal Staff Accountant
Salary: $95,000 - $125,000/year

What You'll Do:
- Prepare and review financial statements and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Provide management with financial information through research and analysis.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory guidance.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (minimum of 24 credit hours in accounting).
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, interpreting, and analyzing data.
- Federal Government Accounting experience preferred
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Fast learner with a willingness to learn new tasks and business functions.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- CPA candidate and/or CGFM preferred.
- Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and/or federal security clearance (U.S. Citizenship may be required for some client engagements).

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 24 credit hours in accounting
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, including interpreting and analyzing data
- Federal government accounting experience
- Ability to work well in a team environment
