Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, design, and execution of assets, typography, logos, icons.
- Plan and develop seasonal concepts/graphics and analyze emerging trends/customers.
- Provide design mockups and sketches for global projects and private brand, etc.
- Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
- Testing and deciding on fabric, colors, patterns and textures for each design.
- Sourcing and managing the production of designs and maintain a relationship with vendors and suppliers.
- Work closely with internal creative team and collaborate with design team to develop ideas for new products based on research data.
- Work across multiple projects at the same time and be able to produce high standards of finished work in a timely manner.
- Maintain a superior knowledge of the latest market trends across lifestyle such as fashion, culture, art, music, etc.
- Design and propose new fashion items for Hypebeast’s in-house private labels: Hypebeast and Hypegolf.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a fashion industry as a lifestyle product designer such as apparels, headwear, accessories, and others.
- Strong ability in hand-drawing and design application e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe After Effect.
- Solid understanding fashion products and development process for apparels, bags, and accessories.
- Good communication skills and be able to present ideas/designs clearly and concisely.
- Be self-motivated and hardworking, able to work independently both effectively and efficiently.
- Able to work under pressure and constructive feedback to meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of street culture/HYPEBEAST background, and/or fashion work experience is highly preferred.
