Description
Invariant, a bipartisan government relations and communications firm providing strategic advice to companies, trade associations, nonprofits, and individuals, seeks a Data and Analytics Intern for fall 2026. Preference will be given to candidates able to commit to a full-time internship.
The Data & Analytics Intern will assist the team in analyzing online conversations and transforming data into clear, actionable insights for clients. This position emphasizes developing foundational skills in social listening and digital analytics using tools such as Brandwatch. It is ideal for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to combine data analysis with storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in developing and refining search queries to capture relevant online conversations.
- Gathering and organizing social and digital data from analytics platforms.
- Detecting trends, patterns, and key themes within large datasets.
- Converting data into clear, concise insights and narratives.
- Supporting the creation of client-ready deliverables (e.g., presentations, written reports).
- Continuously learning and applying new analytical tools and methodologies.
- Supporting internal AI projects as needed.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Established attention to detail.
- Willing to take initiative.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Interns will begin their term with Invariant in person on August 31, 2026. The compensation for this position is $19/hour for undergraduate candidates and $24/hour for graduate candidates.
