OVERVIEW:
SharkNinja is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic co-op student to join our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and Philanthropy team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and impactful environment, contributing to initiatives that foster an inclusive workplace and drive positive social change. The ideal candidate is a proactive learner, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing equity and social responsibility.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:
  • DEI Program Support:
    • Assist in the planning and execution of DEI programs, including workshops, training, and employee resource group (ERG) events.
    • Conduct research and gather data on DEI best practices, benchmarks, and trends.
    • Contribute to the development of DEI communication materials, presentations, and reports.
    • Support the maintenance and organization of DEI resources and documentation.
    • Assist with tracking and analyzing DEI metrics and reporting on progress.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of cultural observances and diversity related events.
  • Philanthropy and Community Engagement:
    • Support the administration of corporate philanthropy programs, including product donations, employee volunteer initiatives, and matching gift programs.
    • Conduct research on potential non-profit partners and community needs.
    • Assist in the development of impact reports and program evaluations.
    • Support the coordination of employee volunteer events and community outreach activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of philanthropic activities and donations.
    • Assist in communicating philanthropic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of employee volunteer events.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze data related to DEI and philanthropy initiatives.
    • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on program outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of program activities.
  • Administrative and Project Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the DEI and Philanthropy team.
    • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes.
    • Manage and organize files and documents.
    • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Learning Opportunities:
    • Gain practical experience in developing and implementing DEI and philanthropy programs.
    • Develop skills in data analysis, reporting, and communication.
    • Network with professionals in the DEI and philanthropy fields.
    • Contribute to a company culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Learn about corporate social responsibility and community engagement.

Here's what you'll bring:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a relevant major (e.g., social justice, human resources, non-profit management, sociology, psychology, communications).
  • Demonstrated interest in and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong research skills.

  • Understanding of philanthropic strategies and non-profit organizations.
