Job Description
The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer returns, identifying the root cause of failures, reporting the analysis results, and finding ways to prevent the failure from recurring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate RPS (Root Cause Analysis) and safety behaviors.
- Analyze new field defects, logging and updating results in the failure analysis database.
- Identify customer issues and discover the root cause of the failure.
- Prepare reports and analyses required by administrative staff.
- Maintain communication with departments involved in a product related to the customer complaint.
- Participate in Kaizen events and document improvements.
- Follow-up, execution, and compliance with the guidelines defined in the applicable SGA (Environmental Management System) procedures.
- Participate in internal and/or external SGA audits and in the implementation of established programs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Electromechanics.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the role.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, microprocessor and microcontroller-based circuits, and radiofrequency circuits.
- Operation and use of electronic measuring instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, LCR meter, calipers, CMM VMM).
- Modification and construction of functional electronic test devices.
- Familiarity with schematic diagram and PCB design and viewing software (P-CAD, VisECAD, Mentor Graphics).
- Preferably with experience in a reliability laboratory (ORT).
