Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer an opportunity for a Factory Service Attendant to join our Facilities team in Portland, Oregon.
As a Factory Service Attendant, you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring that our facility runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from preparing and maintaining work areas to managing supplies and equipment, all while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors, ensuring that every corner of our factory reflects our commitment to excellence. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help us maintain a productive workspace, allowing our teams to focus on delivering top-quality products.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Receive work assignments from the building location/area lead, identified as runs/routes.
  • Review area floor maps to determine necessary cleaning tasks.
  • Prepare and equip work carts with appropriate cleaning tools and supplies, including mops, brooms, and sanitizing agents.
  • Report any broken or worn cleaning equipment to the area lead for timely repair or replacement.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure availability.
  • Restock restrooms with essential supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
  • Block off restroom entrances with signs or caution tape to ensure safe and proper cleaning.
  • Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
  • Maintain restroom floors through various cleaning methods, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing.
  • Allow restroom floors to dry completely before reopening them for use.
  • Clean stairways by sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting as needed.
  • Remove gum and foreign debris from floors using appropriate tools.
  • Sanitize office areas by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash bins.
  • Clean and maintain corporate and executive offices, including polishing furniture and cleaning glass surfaces.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) during cleaning tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning schedules and any issues encountered.
  • Participate in training sessions to maintain certifications related to cleaning standards and safety.
  • Provide excellent service to employees and customers during cleaning tasks, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with approved safety procedures.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications:
Relevant experience can include academic qualifications, military service, or other industry-related roles.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday ; stand 6-8 hours per day, climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
  • 1+ years experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems.
  • 1+ years experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Conflict of Interest:
Successful candidates for this position must successfully complete the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
