Main Responsibilites:
- As a Factory Automation Engineer for Ramos Cabs and Components located in Ramos Arizpe/ Implements & Cutters in Monterrey, you will lead in development and implementation of small to large Factory Automation (FA) solutions. Additionally, you will:
- Coordinate and review work assigned to Support personnel and contractors.
- Lead in the development and implementation of medium to large FA solutions.
- Develop RFQ's, for new and modified equipment and ensure FA standards are followed.
- Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
- Design and update SCADA interfaces (Ignition) and PLC programs for machines or shop floor systems
- Support integration (installation and networking) of shop floor equipment and tooling into MES and PLCs
- Provide technical advice for the integration and support of automated manufacturing equipment.
- Provide Tier 2 Shop Floor Support for urgent production issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
What Skills You Need:
- Highly oriented to service and teamwork.
- Background in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, IT, maintenance, Data, etc.).
- Skilled in PLC (Allen Bradley and Siemens) and Structured Query Language (SQL) programming and Python required.
- Knowledge of industrial automation networks (Ethernet/IP) and Industrial control system protocols (MT Connect, OPC, MQTT, Data Distribution services).
- Experience working with Ignition Software.
- English - Fluent language abilities (written & spoken).
- Knowledge of mistake proofing of manufacturing processes, and OT devices connectivity.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and metrics such as SPC, Statistics, OEE.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, assembly, paint, etc.).
- Knowledge on MES solutions and process control.
Basic Knowledge of Robot Programing
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience with various programing languages (SQL Server based software, JAVA, HTML, Python, etc.).
- Project Management.
- Ability to investigate a request for revising an existing machine or system or creating a new design.
- Experience with control engineering applications: AutoCAD Electrical and Rockwell/Allen Bradley suites.
- Experience with multiple communication protocols (i.e. Ethernet, EIP, OPC UA, Serial, ModBus, MQTT, DeviceNet).
- Intermediate Knowledge of Robot cells and peripheral devices.
Education:
- Bachelro's Degree: Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineer, or related.
