We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing, forming, fitting, and assembling metal components used in the construction of custom industrial machinery.

 

The ideal candidate is a skilled Fabricator who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands fabrication processes, and can independently interpret engineering drawings and fabricate components and assemblies from stainless steel products and other materials.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Fabricates components and assemblies from stainless steel products and other materials
  • Work from engineering drawings and assembly sketches to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • Develops layout and plans sequence of operations
  • Calculate flat pattern for specific gage, punch & die, and material to meet product specifications
  • Lay out, measure, mark, cut, form, drill, grind, and fit metal components according to specifications
  • Fit components and assemblies to achieve proper dimensions, alignment, and tolerances

Identify material defects, dimensional issues, or drawing discrepancies and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor, Engineering, or Quality personnel

  • Ability to use common hand tools and fabrication equipment
  • Ability to safely handle metal materials and components
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic fabrication issues
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE
  • Capable of developing fixtures and tooling for specific uses in machine set-up
  • Ability to create DXF files in AutoCAD
