First Shift Fabricator B (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)

To qualify as a Fabricator an individual must be able to perform the following:

  1. Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance.
  2. Possess the ability to set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch
  3. Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication.
  4. Read shop product as described on the shop order.
  5. Detect when a tool needs to be serviced, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings.
  6. Requires ability to multitask efficiently as required and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School graduate or GED

Experience

  • Trade/vocation certification preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers.

Skills Required

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC Press Brake
  • Ability to set up and operate Mechanical Press Brake
  • Ability to set up and operate Whitney Plasma Punch
  • Ability to read ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers
  • Maintain presses according to maintenance procedures and perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Trade/vocation certification
  • Ability to set proper die clearance, punch grade, lubrication, and set slide and stripper settings
