First Shift Fabricator B (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)
To qualify as a Fabricator an individual must be able to perform the following:
- Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Possess the ability to set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch
- Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication.
- Read shop product as described on the shop order.
- Detect when a tool needs to be serviced, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings.
- Requires ability to multitask efficiently as required and perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School graduate or GED
Experience
- Trade/vocation certification preferred.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers.
Skills Required
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Ability to set up and operate CNC Press Brake
- Ability to set up and operate Mechanical Press Brake
- Ability to set up and operate Whitney Plasma Punch
- Ability to read ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers
