Responsibilities
- Develop and debug 802.11 WLAN/WiFi Driver/Firmware
- Performance analysis, tuning on WLAN/WiFi Driver/Firmware
- Analyze and troubleshoot WiFi issues through sniffer
- Linux kernel/driver programming/debugging
- Develop and implement test plans to verify and debug implementation
- Plan and drive technical discussions with internal teams and chip vendors
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in C/C++, shell scripting, Makefile
- Experience with Wi-Fi standards including 802.11ac/ax/k/v/r
- Experience with Linux device driver development, Linux kernel patching, source management systems such as git
- Experience in embedded system software programming
- Proficiency in English verbal and text
- Proficiency in using debugging tools like gdb/strace/objdump, and kernel debug configs
A team player, who is very self-motivated, loves difficult challenges, and is goal driven - Strong communication skills, able to work both solo and in teams
- At least 3yr+ experience as SW/FW engineer
- MS/Ph.D in computer science/electronic engineering or a closely related field is preferred
Nice to have
- Complete understanding of all Wi-Fi standards, including 802.11be
- Experience in Java/Rust/Go
- Familiar with MTK/QCA-based WiFi SoC
- Familiar with OpenWrt/LEDE development
- Good knowledge of L2/L3 network protocol: VLAN/STP/LLDP/IGMP-Snooping/IP/IP6/Routing, and etc
- 5yr+ experience as SW/FW engineer
