Position Summary
As the External Communications Director, you will play a critical role in shaping our external communications and public relations strategy. You will report to and work directly with our CEO and founder to build and maintain our communication with the external market, including media and analysts. You will develop these communications to reflect our mission, brand, values, and activities. You will work closely with our Marketing, Commercial, Operations, and People team to collaborate on our messaging and ensure it is used consistently externally. You will lead the charge in building and maintaining relationships with key media outlets to create earned media opportunities. You will own our social media in a manner that accurately reflects our brand.
Responsibilities Include:

Build and refine our external communications: Work directly with our CEO and other internal stakeholders to create consistent messaging reflective of our mission and goals. Regularly be testing this messaging in the market and refining as we continue to learn and evolve

Create and Implement Creative PR Strategies: Lead the development and execution of a targeted PR strategy. Drive PR efforts to support our marketing strategy, product launches, and other newsworthy moments, securing media attention before and after these events

Expand our Social Media Footprint: Selectively develop and execute our social media strategy in a manner that reflects our external brand that is consistent with our broader communications and drives company goals
Required Qualifications:

7+ years experience in PR/communications
-
Experience in B2B technology
-
Experience with healthcare, ideally HR & Benefits and/or health insurance

Experience working with executives/founders
-
Relevant, established media relationships

Compensation Range: $130K - $150K
