Expression of interest - Senior React Native Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Mid to Senior-level React Native Developer to join our growing Appic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a foundational part of a new initiative within the company, working on complex, existing applications and developing cutting-edge features.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new modules and features within a new React Native application in the making.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, focusing on code quality, testability, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in the Expo and React Native ecosystems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in React Native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the React framework fundamentals.
• Proven experience developing and shipping complex mobile applications.
• Experience utilizing techniques for scalable clean-architecture applications like domain-driven design, unit testing, and strict linting, and tools like TanStack Query, Zustand, and Stryker.
• Solid understanding of mobile application lifecycle, security, and performance optimization techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience with other mobile development platforms and technologies, such as:
  • iOS Native (Swift/Objective-C)
  • Android Native (Kotlin/Java)
  • Web Technologies
• Prior experience working on applications in the financial services sector
