Overview
The Experiential / Environmental Project Manager leads the full lifecycle of live event production, blending creative vision with technical execution to deliver immersive brand experiences. This role manages budgets, timelines, cross-functional teams, and vendors, ensuring seamless, high-impact events that reflect Cornerstone’s commitment to excellence. Success requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Strategy:
Define project scope, develop roadmaps, manage timelines, and ensure alignment with client/brand goals. - Creative & Technical Planning:
Design immersive environments, sets, and interactive elements; specify A/V, lighting, and tech needs. - Budget & Vendor Management:
Create budgets, track expenses, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with suppliers/vendors. - Team Leadership:
Lead internal production, creative, and marketing teams, as well as external labor (staff, crew). - On-Site Execution:
Oversee load-in, show flow, execution, and load-out, ensuring quality and adherence to standards. - Client & Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as primary contact, communicate updates, manage expectations, and integrate sponsors. - Pre-Production & Design Support:
Support sales team on site visits and job pricing; manage sub-vendor procurement and interaction. - On-Site Management:
Supervise installation and dismantle of stage sets and trade show booths; manage on-site labor (Non-Union and Union). - Reporting & Administration:
Prepare cash spending reports, track expenses, support invoice reconciliation, and assist with HR onboarding and payroll for seasonal staff. - Communication:
Act as key point of contact for internal communication; collaborate with FOH/BOH teams to streamline workflows.
Core Skills & Qualifications
- Proven leadership in large-scale event production.
- Expertise in live event tech (Scenic, Décor, A/V, streaming, virtual platforms).
- Strong proficiency with project management tools (Asana, MS Project, Google Suite, Airtable).
- Exceptional communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Adaptability for busy, demanding environments (evenings/weekends).
- Understanding of safety protocols and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of theatrical set and trade show booth build carpentry.
- Basic understanding of theatrical lighting, audio, and video systems.
- VectorWorks CAD drafting (basics).
- Must be willing to travel and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field.
