Experienced Python Backend Engineer

We are looking for an Experienced Python Backend Engineer for our Developer Tools team.

In this position, you will develop a web-based no-code/low-code IDE for SolarEdge Embedded Software with a team of outstanding engineers.

This IDE is being used internally by hundreds of engineers on a daily basis to make their work more productive. You will have a crucial impact on the team's architecture and products.

The technological stack will be Python (FastAPI), Kafka, and MySQL. All Microservices will be deployed to Kubernetes using a fully automated CI/CD pipeline.

Since our IDE serves Embedded Engineers (working in C) and Cloud SW Engineers (working in Java and C#), you will get a chance to interact with many teams in the organization and have a broad influence on the organization's velocity.

We are looking for an experienced backend developer with experience in building web applications at the highest standards. The job requires a deep understating of the technological stack - all the way from an embedded device to a cloud application.

Responsibilities:

• Help designing the team's architecture from the ground up, and then build it
• Work with Embedded and Cloud developers across SolarEdge to understand their pain-points, and design new tools to solve these pain-points
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, from architecture to coding the solution and supporting users as they use the system

• 3 years in SW engineering with web-app backend experience - REST APIs or other
• Willing to learn and work with Python
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• A person that can drive new initiatives, and can take a project from ideation to production
• Preferably a technical degree
