Southern Health Partners is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician to provide clinical care and medical oversight at the Vance County Jail in North Carolina. This flexible part-time role is ideal for providers looking to stay connected to patient care, supplement their current practice, or contribute their expertise in a meaningful healthcare setting.
Working alongside an experienced nursing team, you’ll help deliver quality care in a secure, structured environment where your knowledge and leadership are valued.
Position Details
- Location: Vance County Jail – NC
- Schedule: Approximately 2 Flexible Hours Weekly
- Position: Part-Time Medical Provider (NP, PA, or MD)
- Conduct scheduled on-site patient evaluations and treatment
- Provide medical oversight and support to on-site nursing staff
- Review and approve medical documentation, treatment plans, and physician orders
- Prescribe medications and coordinate specialty referrals as needed
- Support quality healthcare delivery through established clinical protocols
- Maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality
- Active NP, PA, or MD license in the state of North Carolina
- NP candidates must maintain collaborating physician relationships as required by state regulations
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or correctional healthcare preferred
- Ability to pass background screening and facility security clearance
