Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Production/Inventory Coordinator (Level C) to join our Space Launch Systems (SLS) Team in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Position Responsibilities:
- Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support complex production and product support activities, flight test, etc.
- Monitors and analyzes work in process
- Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems
- Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to insure parts availability
- Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy
- Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
- Works under limited supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift however, candidates must be willing to work any shift as required.
NASA Access:
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- More than 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping or customer service environment
- More than 3 years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- More than 3 years of experience with warehouse inventory (e.g. parts accuracy and accountability)
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience with inventory management and material requirements planning systems
- More than 3 years of experience in packaging
- More than 3 years of experience in kitting and cycle-counting
- Experience with BESSy (Boeing Enterprise Shipping System)
- Experience with a CompassCONTRACT system
- Experience with ARES
Typical Education/Experience:
High School diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Education (e.g. Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, etc.) preferred, but not required.
