Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Production/Inventory Coordinator (Level C or D) to join the Experimental Systems Group Program in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Position Responsibilities:
- Expedites material to the production floor
- Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support complex production and product support activities, flight test, etc.
- Monitors and analyzes work in process
- Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems
- Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to insure parts availability
- Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy
- Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
- Works under limited supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Shift:
Candidates must be willing to work Second Shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
NASA Access:
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- More than 1 year of experience in the materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
- Ability to walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift
- Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experienced Level C: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Senior Level D: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a computer based inventory management system or warehouse management system
- Experience working on NASA/Defense programs
- Experience in supply chain concepts and best-practices
- Current U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
Typical Education/Experience:
Experienced Level C: High School diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Education (e.g. Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior Level D: High School diploma/GED and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Education (e.g. Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, etc.) preferred, but not required.
